DUNLAP, Ill. -- Dunlap School District officials and the Dunlap Education Association announced Monday that a tentative three year agreement was ratified on Sunday.

The contract includes salary increases averaging 2.6 percent a year. In addition, an Initiative Implementation Committee will be formed. The committee is designed to facilitate strategic initiatives through improved collaboration and communication.

Officials say that negotiations began on April of last year and an agreement was reached in July, but was not ratified. This agreement was reached after one session with the mediator on January 13.

The contract will be voted on by the Board of Education on February 3.
