EAST PEORIA, Ill. -- One man is dead and another injured after a shooting at an East Peoria home early Wednesday morning.

East Peoria Police said the shooting happened at 233 Elm Street around 12:30 a.m.

Authorities said two men inside the home were shot after they answered the door. 21-year-old Justin Siebenthal sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

Siebenthal was taken to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at around 6:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.

"Right now we're still working with the witnesses on the scene to determine any possible motives, if it was a robbery or what the issue was about," said East Peoria Interim Police Chief RT Finney.

Police are not releasing the name of the second victim, but add he was shot once. There is no word on his condition at this time.

They say two other people were inside the house when the shooting happened but were not injured.

Authorities are investigating the shooting and right now, there are no suspects in custody.
