HANNA CITY, Ill. -- Well the food may have brought them in but the weather kept them around.
"It's a beautiful day, just beautiful," said some park goers.
Hundreds showed up at Wildlife prairie park with their families Sunday to enjoy an Easter day brunch.
"Real nice, real good service," said Clay Cummings.
"Stuffed, we need to walk around," added others.
And after the meal was over, many stuck around to enjoy a day at the park with their families.
"We went to church together, we came down here for brunch, such a beautiful day."
"That's what today's all about," said Clay Cummings, "being with the family."
"I really like spending time with my family," said Rachel Tipps, " and especially out here because it's so nice out here today."
"Feels great to be out here," added her brother Jared, "spend time with family and see a lot of cool looking animals."
Park officials said Easter is a kick off of sorts for getting people out to the park now that warmer weather finally seems to be here, no thanks to "Gertie."
"It was a little late this year," said director of operations Mike McKim. "Missed our six weeks left of winter. But it's sunny, it's warm, people are out enjoying the place."
"Usually we just spend our Easter inside but today we came outside and it's better, I like it a lot," said Rachel Tipps.
"I'm glad that it's finally nice especially for a holiday," said Kenna Ince.
"I love the warm weather," added her brother Lawrence.
Food, family, and sunshine.
It seemed to be a perfect combination for those enjoying a day at the park on Easter Sunday.
