Eureka woman arrested for looting in Washington

WASHINGTON, Ill. -- A Eureka woman has been arrested over the weekend and charged with stealing property belonging to a Washington tornado victim.

Tazewell County authorities say police and a neighbor became suspicious when they saw Ayron Casey taking items from a damaged home at 1518 Flossmor Avenue on Saturday.

Casey admitted to police she had pulled several household items from debris and placed them in her car.

She was taken into custody and charged with looting. Bond was set at $5,000.

Casey is scheduled to appear in back in Tazewell County Court December 26.
