BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The McLean County coroner said the death of a 35-year-old Normal man who drowned in Evergreen Lake was an accident.

Coroner Beth Kimmerling said autopsy results showed that Sebert Crose died of drowning and that toxicology results indicated that he had cocaine in his blood as well as a blood alcohol content of .106 at the time of his death.

Crose’s body was pulled from Lake Evergreen in Hudson, Ill. on April 28.

He was last seen in Bloomington on April 15. Autopsy results indicated that he may have been in the water since that time.
