Former Mossville teacher pleads guilty to criminal sexual abuse

PEORIA, Ill. -- A former Mossville Elementary teacher plead guilty in Peoria County Court on Friday to engaging in sexual activity with a 16-year-old boy.

Kayla Trueblood, 22, was indicted on two charges of criminal sexual abuse in December of last year. She plead guilty to one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

As part of her plea agreement, the first count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse was dismissed.

She has been sentenced to 90 days in Peoria County Jail and 24 months of probation. She has already spent two days in jail.
