EAST PEORIA, Ill. -- Butter and syrup will be in high demand Tuesday, and it's all for a good cause!
Local IHOP restaurants are giving away a short stake of pancakes until 10 p.m. Tuesday. Diners are encouraged to give a donation to Children's Hospital of Illinois in exchange for a hearty meal.
"I think if you say free pancakes they come out of the woodwork," said IHOP GM Murphy Richard. "But it is definitely the fact that we have OSF in the community and people are wanting to support OSF and everything they do. I think they're delicious."
Since 2006, IHOP's National Pancake Day has raised more than $10 million dollars for children.
