PEORIA, Ill -- Gas prices continued to rise over the past week, and they may not be done going up.

In Peoria, gas is up five cents to $3.61 per gallon. Statewide, the average is up 4 cents to $3.76 per gallon. The national average is also up--coming in at $3.47 per gallon.

Experts with www.gasbuddy.com say the increase in price is because of routine maintenance at refineries. Prices will most likely continue to rise over the next few weeks, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
