EAST PEORIA, Ill. -- A hefty grand will help tornado victims who are having trouble coping with the experience.

The Tazewood Center for Wellness has received a $70,000 grant from the Illinois Division of Mental Health.

It will pay for crisis counseling positions and educational services that will be offered to tornado victims.

"This is not so much a psychological assessment as it is a people assessment. Letting people know that what they've gone through is often a normal experience but for these people who might be bothered by their reactions to the tornado and the stress, that there are services that are available to help them and provide some reference information for the people who might need that," said Bernie Butler, Crisis & Community Services Manager
