CHILLICOTHE, Ill. -- The creators of the show Hard Charge are in Chillicothe this week to tape an upcoming episode for Comcast SportsNet.

The crew is setting up a man-made obstacle course in Three Sisters Park to go along with the natural, unpredictable terrain.

There are 20 to 30 obstacles in the 4.2 mile course but there is one that can be a race stopper.

"I would say the one that people get challenged with the most is one call "no holds barred’,” said Brent Wolf, Hard Charge Commissioner. “I compare it to the monkey bars growing up only but kind of a steroid version. You're ten feet up in the air and you are going across these bars and if you can't make it will give you a bath."

Televised racing begins at 8:30 a.m. Saturday with the Elite Men challenge.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Children’s Hospital of Illinois in Peoria.

To get in the game, you need to register by 11:45 p.m. Wednesday online at www.HardCharge.com/Peoria. You must be at least 18 years old to participate.

Spectators and volunteers can just show up.
