PEORIA, Ill. -- Peoria's Ace Hardware store on McClure is calling for back-up after their sump pump supply ran dry within days of last week's thaw.

On Tuesday, the store received more than 400 flood prevention items including the largest shipment of sump pumps they ever had.

Store owner Kriss Brown said last week the store was swamped.

"The winter, we'd like to think is all behind us but the need for water control is what everybody is asking for now," Brown said.

Brown said the worst is yet to come. He expects high demand for these items throughout March.
