Health Club raises funds for victims of Boston Marathon Bombing through exercise

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- May is National Employee Health and Fitness month and a Bloomington Health Club is not only participating, but also raising money for the victims of the Boston Marathon Bombing.

Four Seasons Health Club is hosting a variety of events to promote workplace wellness.

Friday night's event was called AfterWERQ, a nightclub dance fitness experience designed to get people to hit the gym after work.

Money raised during class will be donated to support onefundboston.org.

The organizer said they feel a connection to those affected by the tragedy in Boston.

"Fitness is just connections, no matter what type of fitness. If you're dancing or running or playing basketball, there is some sort of a connection between people who really strive with their fitness goals," said WERQ Instructor Karen Osborne.

More than 50 People attended Friday's event and raised over $500.
