WASHINGTON, D.C. -- U.S. Senator Dick Durbin announced today to hire 132 additional healthcare workers through the Affordable Care Act for a total of nearly 3.3 million dollars.
The healthcare workers will help individuals and families enroll into affordable health insurance plans.
The funding will help enrollment assistance efforts as more Illinoisans access affordable health insurance coverage through the healthcare reform law.
Healthcare workers will be added to community health centers in Central Illinois: Chestnut Health Systems in Bloomington, Heartland Community Health clinic in Peoria, and Knox County in Galesburg.
