BLOOMINGTON, Ill.-- A local food pantry is short on supplies for Thanksgiving meal distribution.

They are asking you to donate thanksgiving items, especially turkeys.

Home Sweet Home ministries will be distributing Thanksgiving meals to families in need starting Monday November 15th.

The food pantry has received 200 turkeys so far but they need 1600 to cover the need in the community.

Along with turkeys they are asking for green beans, stuffing and rolls.

“Right now we need the community more than ever because thanksgiving is about families and that's what home sweet home ministries is about as well. Everything you put on your table for thanksgiving is what we want here,” said Matt Drat from Home Sweet Home Ministries.

Frozen turkeys can be dropped off at Home Sweet Home Ministries at 303 East Oakland Ave in Bloomington.
