NORMAL, Ill. -- President Al Bowman announced earlier this month that he will retire for health reasons.

Saturday, the University's Board of Trustees will have a special meeting at 4 p.m. to begin the process of finding the school's next president.

The meeting will be in the Old Main Room of the Bone Student Center.

The board will convene in open session, then go into closed session before reconvening in open session.

Dr. Bowman says he will remain in the position until someone is hired.
