Jesse White will seek fifth term as Illinois Secretary of State

CHICAGO, Ill. -- Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White wants four more years in office.

The 79-year-old Democrat announced Thursday that he will seek an unprecedented fifth term in office.

“While I am proud of our accomplishments, I still have more that I want to achieve,” White said.

White was first elected as Illinois Secretary of State in 1998.
