Juvenile arrested in connection with Constitution Trail robbery

NORMAL, Ill. – Normal Police have arrested a juvenile in connection with a robbery on the Constitution Trail.

Authorities say a group of juveniles approached the victim, a 24 year-old male, just after 10 p.m. Tuesday. They allegedly threw a rock at the victim, surrounded him and demanded money and property. They took an electronic device from the victim and fled on foot.

The victim was not injured. The juveniles were located a short time later by Normal and Illinois State University Police.

The juvenile male suspect was taken to McLean County Juvenile Detention Facility where he awaits review and formal charges by the McLean County State’s Attorney’s Office.
