BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- The Bloomington Center for Performing Arts may receive close to half of a million dollars in funds from the city.
Bloomington city aldermen are currently meeting with cultural district commissioners.
The meeting was scheduled to give city officials and board members a chance to discuss the future of the arts center.
The BCPA opened 6 years ago after the city issued $13.1 million of debt finance to fund the project.
According to a city report, Bloomington officials are now considering an additional $450,000 for fiscal year 2013. If the funds are allocated, that money would not need to be paid back to the city.
