CENTRAL ILLINOIS -- The results for the local mayoral races are in.

A new mayor has been elected in Galesburg with John Pritchard winning over incumbent Sal Garza and Margaret Hall. Pritchard brought in 53 percent of the vote.

In Peoria, Mayor Jim Ardis ran unopposed, winning his third term.

Mark Allen was re-elected in Peoria Heights, defeating challenger Don Gorman. Allen received 57 percent of the vote.

Jeffery Fritz defeated both Kevin Meade and Steve Cape in Canton's mayoral race. Fritz received 44 percent of the vote with Meade and Cape winning 42 percent and 14 percent of the vote respectively.

Douglas Crew defeated both Donald White and Sandi Levell in Chillicothe's Mayoral race. Crew received 52 percent of the vote, with White and Levell receiving 30 percent and 18 percent of the vote respectively.
