TREMONT, Ill. -- Bill Brady's running mate, Maria Rodriguez met with voters to discuss job growth in the state.
Illinois ranks 50th in job growth, and Rodriguez said that's an indicator of one thing.
"Indiana and Wisconsin, increasing economies. They have a fraction of the assets we have.  Why are they are increasing? They have one thing we don't have; strong leadership," said GOP Lt. Gov. Candidate, Maria Rodriguez.
Rodriguez was mayor of Long Grove, Illinois for eight years.
She and her husband are  small-business owners with interests in manufacturing, agriculture, real estate and financial services.
