Guangzhou City, CHINA -- Here's a gimmick designed to attract the attention of young eaters. Or reporters on a slow day...the attention span is about the same.
A restaurant in southern china is attracting customers with a novelty straight out of "The Jetsons": a robot waiter.
It definitely makes the meal unique. However, the robot has some limitations: it moves slowly and is only able to carry about a pound.
On the other hand, a steaming hot dish doesn't bother it and it won't look at you funny if you don't tip.
The restaurant's owner says he's been intrigued by robots since he was a kid.
