CHICAGO, IL. -- The Taste of Chicago is featuring a new delicacy this year, Asian Carp.

Asian Carp Sliders to be exact.

People were chowing down on the free mini-burgers Wednesday.

First of all, they're not being called 'asian carp" anymore. Now, it's "silverfin'...which sounds a lot nicer.

These particular carp --silverfin--were covered with a jalapeno chutney made by an award-winning Chicago chef.

So, how do they taste?

"If you can't beat 'em, eat them. That's the Chicago way. I'm loving it."

"Talipia, they taste like tapipia. It's a nice fish"

Experts say the problem is "Asian Carp" share the bad reputation of American Carp, as bottom feeders.

Asian Carp... silverfin are plankton eaters and taste better.

Still, no one expects the state to eat it's way out of the onslaught of the invading and annoying fish.
