ESSEX, VA -- There are all kinds of home tours and garden walks this time of year, the one in Essex, Vermont is slightly different.
It's a tour of sixteen chicken coops.
Including John Churchman's coops.
Churchman is a photographer of chickens, for high-end chicken catalogs.
Churchman has four coops -- separating the layers from the roosters.
25 of his models do provide him with eggs along with being subjects for his photography.
And, at Donna Martin's home in Underhill, Vermont, her houses are often referred to as the Taj Mahal of coops.
Martin and her husband used reclaimed doors and windows, a slate roof and insulated the chicken and duck coop so water doesn't freeze in the winter.
Money raised for the may 18th event goes to the community center in Jericho, Vermont.
Other events include --not a suprise --an egg hunt.
