CADDO PARISH, La -- Caddo Parish Commissioner Michael Williams want to ban pajamas in public.
He says an incident at a local Walmart in which he and others were offended by a customer clad in pajamas was the spark for his proposal to ban them in public.
On Friday, the American Civil Liberties Union of Louisiana sent a letter to Williams objecting to any ordinance limiting pajamas.
The ACLU argued a ban on PJs would violate the Constitution. \
Williams disagrees. "The moral fiber in our community is dwindling. If not now, when? Because its pajama pants today, next it will be underwear tomorrow."
Williams says he's working with the parish attorney on the ordinance wording... soon he'll present it to the commission.
