CANCUN, Mexico -- It is now just days until the so-called "Mayan apocalypse."
So maybe it's not surprising that a replica of the Mayan calendar is proving to be a huge draw for a newly opened Mayan museum.
According to the folks at the museum, the carving's true message may come as a relief for many visitors.
The carved slab of rock said to contain the prediction of world ending is one of three pieces discovered in a quarry.
Experts know the stela was one of six originally, but three pieces are still missing and may have been destroyed in the quarry.
For a while, the museum can guarantee one attraction will remain the center of attention. After December 22, Cancun visitors may go back to zip-lines and snorkeling.
