I think its safe to say Americans are pretty into shopping... Although I am not even we would take it as far as the French who, Wednesday, stripped down for the chance to get free clothes.
People lined up outside a store in Lyon to get a free outfit on the first day of the nationwide winter sales season.
After hours of standing in line, shoppers descended on the store in their underwear looking for a deal. The first hundred people got to choose two free items and receive a further discount on other items.
One shopper said the good thing about being undressed was that it made it faster to try clothes on.
Sales in France are tightly controlled. central and local governments lay out the official start and end dates.
