SHIZUOKA, JAPAN -- The Japanese traditionally celebrate the winter solstice with a hot citrus bath, which is said to bring good health in the new year.

Right now, some time in a hot tub seems like a good idea. A group of capybaras -- the world's largest rodent -- got a special treat Sunday. They enjoyed a nice soak at a hot spring resort in central Japan.

These capybaras were visiting an outdoor hot spring in Ito, a famous resort not far from Tokyo. They looked like they were getting ready for a happy, healthy 2014.

Capybaras are semi-aquatic, so don't try this with the family cat.
