PEORIA, Ill. -- The Moss Bradley residential association held a special meeting tonight to talk about the sale of Washington school.

The old school building sits at the corner of Moss and Garfield avenues near Bradley University.

Residents of that area showed up tonight with ideas for what is next for the structure.

Both city officials and residents want the building to be a positive contribution to the neighborhood.

"It's a very important issue for our neighborhood particularly, but for the city as well because it's going to come up in other neighborhoods. And having a process that allows many different voices to come together to define a good use for the building is important," said member of Moss Bradley Residential Association, Rod Lorenz.

The city is asking for around 150-thousand dollars for the sale of the property.
