MORTON, Ill. -- Morton officials announced Wednesday they have canceled the city-wide boil order that has been in effect since Tuesday afternoon.

The boil order was put into effect after an inconsistency was found during a monthly water sample.

Morton officials say that all additional samples were cleared from any contamination by an EPA certified lab. The Illinois EPA has advised the Village of Morton that they can lift the boil order.
