BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- The mother of a three-year-old boy who died last month plead Not Guilty in McLean County Court on Friday.

Police arrested 22-year-old Danielle Fischer for Endangering the Life or Health of a Child earlier in April.

Fischer’s son, Robert W. Cramer, died on March 26. Autopsy results show Robbie was struck in his abdomen with such force it caused an internal laceration, which led to sepsis.

Nicholas Compton, 23, of Colfax has also been arrested and has been charged with murder and aggravated domestic battery.

Fischer is next scheduled to appear in court on May 9.
