EAST PEORIA, Ill -- Heavy rain Wednesday night caused mudslides in parts of East Peoria.

People we spoke with said rain picked up around 7:00 Monday night. Soon after, mud and debris started sliding downhill toward both IL Rt. 8 and IL Rt. 116.

Up to a foot of mud covered residential roadways near the shell station at 1100 N Main St. Crews worked to clear the mud, and had most roadways cleared by 10 PM.

At this time, no injuries have been reported.
