WBNH, christian-radio has expanded their radio station facilities.

They held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday at their new location at Mayflower Drive and Route 9, just east of Pekin.

They began 22 years in the basement of the 1st Baptist Church in Pekin, then in 1995 they began renting out a space in downtown Pekin.

Station Manager Jim Huber says this move allows them to have a space to call their own and build equity on the property.

Huber says he is thankful for all the support, "WBNH is a listener supported ministry, we do not rely on any grants, we certainly don't get any government subsidies, and we do not and can not sell advertising. So we depend on these people that have come today to support us. This allows us to be better stewards of all of our monies."

The station is affiliated with Moody Broadcasting and does three hour of local music each day.

WBNH is found on the FM dial at 88.5 in the Peoria/Pekin area and 100.1 in the Bloomington/Normal area.
