NEW YORK, NY -- New York City's soda ban has been put on ice.
Monday, a New York Supreme Court Judge ruled that the city could not start enforcing the ban that is set to start on Tuesday.
In the ruling, the judge said that the regulations are quote "fraught with arbitrary and capricious consequences" and would not be enforced evenly throughout the city.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg says he will appeal the ruling.
Under the ban, businesses would be prohibited from selling soft drinks in larger amounts than 16 ounces.
