Governor Pat Quinn has signed off on a $77,000 investment grant for new bike paths in both Peoria and Fulton counties.

The state is in the process of developing or improving bicycle trails around the state.

Peoria County will use its money to purchase a 25-mile abandoned railroad corridor, which runs from west of Bellevue to Farmington Township in Fulton County.

The bicycle path will help connect two schools.
