PEORIA, Ill -- A new organization is looking to make Peoria 'Thrive'.

Thrive Capital Partners bought and re-vamped the former Blaine-Sumner School on Peoria's south-side.

Thursday night, they hosted an open house to show the community what they have done to the building and explain how they plan to help the community.

Tim Krueger, Co-President of Thrive, said his team at Thrive is building a place where people can come to build businesses.

"There's a source of capitol and expertise that really helps business and people that might be afraid because they don't know all the things it takes, no one does, but when we pull all those people together they have a great opportunity to do something they couldn't do by themselves," said Krueger.

Currently the building is host to a catering company on the first floor, but there is available office space throughout the building.
