CHICAGO, Ill -- The Chicago Tribune is reporting that Chicago police discovered a Peoria man shot dead on a South Side street Wednesday morning.
Police responded to a shots fired call and found Terrell Joshua, 28, lying on a sidewalk just before 3:30 a.m.
Joshua, of the 2300 blcok of North Flora Avenue in Peoria, was taken to John H. Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
Police have few leads regarding the killing. It is unclear why Joshua was in Chicago, though court records show that he had lived in the city until the late 2000s.
Authorities said that Joshua has had past ties to a street gang, but no motive has been determined.
No arrests have been made.
