Peoria's Biggest Loser contestants take on final physical challenge

PEORIA, Ill. -- Saturday is all smiles Peoria's biggest loser contestants embark on their final physical challenge.

For more than ten weeks, these contestants have gone through intense physical and diet training hoping for a lifestyle change. Now all the teams are celebrating by running the a two mile race. It is the final physical challenge of the competition.

"Their first day, this two mile run probably scared them, but because they've been training 3-4 times a week... Now they're excited to run this two mile race," said lead dietitian and mentor Liz Eells.

"I think it's going to be a huge accomplishment coming up to today," said Team Gold member Leon Edwards. "Just the nerves building up to today. It's a big adrenalin rush."

Edwards lost more than 20 pounds since the start of the 12 week program. The final results of the competition will be release on April 11th.
