PEORIA, Ill -- Two people were robbed at gunpoint on the 3300 block of SW Adams Street at 11:45 on Wednesday night.

Police spoke with the two victims, who said that they had arrived back at the above address when two men approached them from their neighbor's back yard.

One of the males was carrying a rifle that was described as resembling an AK-47 and the other had a small handgun.

The suspects ordered the victims to strip and the male with the handgun went through their clothing.  One of the victims thought that the suspects were looking for drugs as they took two prescription drug bottles out of her purse while not taking her jewelery.

The suspects then fled the scene down a nearby alley way and continued northbound on Adams.

One of the victims thinks she could identify the suspects if she saw them again.  No arrests have been made in this robbery.
