Police seek public help in death investigation

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Police are looking for new leads in the death of a Bloomington woman.

Haileigh Eichhorn, 26, was found dead in a field in rural Standford, Ill. on May 7. Autopsy results showed she was the victim of a fatal assault.

Eichhorn was last seen alive on April 28. Police said new information helped them uncover the last known image of Eichhorn taken on the morning of the disappearance.

In the image she can be seen wearing a pink shirt with a dark colored, patterned hooded jacket.

The Bloomington Police Department is in the process of distributing a flier with that photo in the areas that Eichhorn was known to frequent.
