BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- With the end of the year, comes the end of a public office.

Tuesday, the McLean County Recorder's Office merges with the County Clerk's office.

Voters decided to do away with the Recorder's Office and the McLean County Board said the merger could save taxpayers up to $100,000 a year.

All of the Recorder's Office employees have either taken jobs with the Clerk's Office or have gotten new jobs elsewhere.
