Red Cross deploys emergency response vehicle to Washington

WASHINGTON, Ill. -- The Red Cross has deployed their Emergency Response Vehicle to Washington to provide food and water.

Emergency response stations have been set up at Five Points and Cherry Point Shopping Center.

A shelter is being set up at Crosspoint Methodist Church.

Illinois State Police say hundreds of homes have been leveled in Washington.

School has been canceled on Monday for all Washington schools.

Washington residents are being asked to conserve water due to a large number of water main breaks.

No volunteers are needed at this time. Police are asking people to AVOID the area and allow emergency personnel to do their jobs.
