PEORIA, Ill. -- Bond has been set at $300,000 for the second suspect in an October 11 homicide.
Cartez Williams, 25, appeared in Peoria County Court on Thursday.
Williams is charged with Second Degree Murder and felony Mob Action. Those are the same charges faced by Kent Irby Jr., 25.
Both men admitted to shooting during the incident that left Carnell Ashford, 31, dead.
Irby has claimed self defense in the shooting. Police have his weapon but not Williams’.
At this point it is unknown which of the two men, or both, shot Ashford.
