PEORIA, Ill. -- Enough already! We're in for more snow. Perhaps as much as 8 inches by the end of the weekend.

For some people its getting downright aggravating.

"I think oh my gosh, here we go again, another snow," said Scott Lower. "Its just overpowering all of the snow that we've received so far."

A near-record for the season as a matter of fact.

"We might as well go for the gold and break the record," said Jackie Patten. "What is it, three more inches and we'll do it?"

Give or take. But whose counting? We've been too busy shoveling. Or trying to find a parking spot.

At one Peoria hardware store the optimists among us have already started to look ahead to the spring, even though Mother Nature refuses to cooperate.

"We've had a few people stop in and browse around at the (barbecue) grills," said employee Lynna Lehmkuhl, "but I think that's just them (staying) positive that spring is around the corner and coming up soon.

But not soon enough for Randy Fritz of Williamsfield, who has stamped this winter as a world class clunker.

"I'm just tired of it," Fritz said. "I'm old enough to remember the winter of '79 which seemed to go on forever and this one may be a little worse. Its just about as bad."

And according to the forecast we're going to get one more dose.
