PEORIA, Ill. -- Jon Austin is out as General Manager at Springdale Cemetery.
The Springdale Board of Directors voted to relieve Austin of his duties during a Tuesday afternoon meeting.
The board cited "insignificant progress towards goals" as the reasoning for Austin's dismissal.
He has served as Springdale General Manager since 2010.
The board will now begin the search for a new general manager in hopes of taking the cemetery in a new direction.
