PONTIAC, Ill. -- A stretch of Interstate 55 could be dedicated to a fallen Pontiac Police officer.

Officer Casey Kohlmeier and his K9 partner Draco were killed when a man accused of drunk driving hit his parked SUV last October.

State Senator Jason Barickman has introduced a resolution to rename a 5-mile section of I-55 in honor of Kohlmeier.

No word on when the resolution would be voted on.
