Streator man jailed on weapons charges

STREATOR, Ill. – A Streator man is behind bars after allegedly firing a gun inside a home early Monday morning.

Streator Police responded to the home in the 300 block of S. First Avenue just before 1 a.m. Monday on a report of shots fired.

Streator’s Emergency Response Team was activated and officers took Richard Russow, 53, into custody without incident.

He was jailed on charges of Reckless Discharge of a Firearm and Unlawful Use of Weapons.
