PEORIA, Ill -- Early Saturday morning the Bradley University class of 2014 will move their tassels and head out into the 'real world.'
Friday night, Bradley hosted a reception for the class of 2014. One of the hot topics was the crushing student debt that many of these students are taking with them.
Many Democrats in Washington -- Including Senator Dick Durbin -- back a bill that would help borrowers refinance at a better interest rate.
"They forgave people when they bought homes, you know, helped them out there," Mary Monroe, mother of a graduating student said. "They helped out when car manufacturers were failing. I think they should help students."
Bradley graduation begins Saturday morning at 8:45 Am at Carver Arena.
