PEORIA, Ill. – The more than 10,000 participants at Saturday’s Race for the Cure included hundreds of breast cancer survivors.

The group proudly wore their 'pink' during this morning's Survivor's Walk.

Whether they were celebrating months or years of being breast cancer free, the survivors' positive spirits inspired everyone in attendance to continue to fight for a cure.

But, as one survivor explained, the huge turnout of supporters inspires them as well.

“We road the bus up here from Evergreen Square and just watching everybody walking up here, it’s just…amazing,” said Breast Cancer Survivor Annette Edwards of Pekin. “I teared up. Just watching them walking here to support Susan G. Komen, it’s just amazing.”
