Suspect arrested in Peoria's fourth homicide case of 2013

PEORIA, Ill. -- Peoria police have arrested a suspect in the fourth homicide case of the year.

Marquis Costic, 22, was arrested Tuesday in connection to the Sunday murder of 17-year-old Treyshawn Blakely.

Monday, authorities said that they had identified Costic as a suspect.

Peoria County Coroner Johnna Ingersoll said the former Manual Academy student was shot in the head. He was pronounced dead in the emergency room at OSF St. Francis Medical Center.
