EAST PEORIA, Ill. -- Every year in Illinois nearly 80 people die on or around railroad tracks.

A man was killed by an Amtrak train in Lincoln last month.

The Illinois Commerce Commission has implemented a program called Operation Lifesaver.

It's goal is to raise awareness among people about the dangers of trains and railroads.

Walking or playing on railroad tracks is illegal in Illinois and can get you a $150 ticket.
